For the past week, high school students from Iowa and beyond have gathered at Central College in order to innovate and hone their entrepreneurial skills. 
Though their time together has come to an end, they decided to take a look back on their journeys.

Industry A

Q: Describe your product in 50 words or less

  • A: Our product is a water vehicle that is easy to transport when not using. The “Scoot Case” is convenient because it provides a lot of storage and can easily transform into a means of transportation.

Q: What was your original product and what is it now?

  • A: Our original product was a suitcase that could change into an automobile and now our product is more water-based and is more of a new and improved transferable jet-ski.

Q: What’s your chant?

  • A: “3, 2, 1, ALPHA!”

Industry B

Q: Describe your product in 50 words or less

  • A:  It’s Uber Baby. Made for hardworking adults to transport your baby from point A to point B. It’s safe, convenient, and affordable. Uber Baby is available to rent 24/7 on the app.

Q: What was your original product and what is it now?

  • A: Originally it was for all people who needed assistance and now we’re targeting parents of small children. We are considering expanding our market to others who made need assistance carrying things.

  • A:  Who’s the best baller industry? B Team B team

Industry C

Q: Describe your product in 50 words or less

  • A: VIDA Pro is an autonomous gardening vehicle. The features are tilling, watering, fertilizing, organic pest control, planting, and weeding. Our product has an app that will allow VIDA Pro to mark boundaries with the use of GPS technology, to enhance community through clean, healthy, hassle free gardening.

Q: What was your original product and what is it now?

  • A: We started with VIDA and changed it to VIDA Pro.

  • A:  Industry C, we’re who you want to be.

Industry D

Q: Describe your product in 50 words or less

  • A: Our product is called TruSpray 360. This product is an autonomous dual spray machine with many features to make farming easier for small farmers. It is solar powered and also has a battery so that farmers can use it both day and night. It can spray any type of herbicide, pesticide, fertilizer, and water. 

Q: What was your original product and what is it now?

  • A: Now it is the TruSpray 360, the inaugural product of TruTrac.

  • A: Indy D who are we. We the best you’ll ever see!  Indy D (clap)

Industry E

Q: Describe your product in 50 words or less

  • A: The Track DADI is a tracker for direct aid for distressed individuals. The drone is used for first responders to track missing people and people in natural disasters.

Q: What was your original product and what is it now?

  • A: It originally was a metal detector and now is the Track DADI

Q: What’s your chant?

  • A: 2, 4, 6, 8 who do we Eppreciate!

Tech Industry

Q: Describe your product in 50 words or less

  • A: Our product, Swift Spot, is an application that shows users how many open spots there are in a given parking facility, and where they are located. Swift Spot is also a subscription service for airports and other large parking facilities. Swift Spot makes parking more efficient for frequent drivers and businesses.

Q: What was your original product and what is it now?

  • A: Our product was originally just a parking helper, but it has grown into an all-purpose parking utility with the ability to reserve parking and integration with advanced car systems.

Q: What’s your chant?

  • A: “Teamwork makes the dream work!”

Media Industry

Q: Describe your product in 50 words or less

  • A: Our product is the Horizon Sun Times Newspaper. We cover multiple stories and events that occurred throughout the week, and write an article about them, along with a photo.

Q: What was your original product and what is it now?

  • A: Our original product has always been the newspaper, but we’ve changed some of the stories around a little bit, and made different decisions about who’s writing what story.
